Family: My great grandmother Mabel

I found this gem of a photograph in an old metal box of photos belonging to my grandpa. It is a picture of his mother, Mabel Richards, with Clara Barton, founder of the American Red Cross. My great grandmother worked as a nurse and personal escort for Ms. Barton.

Haiti Bound

Global Family Philanthropy has invited me to join them on their October trip to Les Cayes, Haiti. We leave Friday, October 7. I'll be shooting stills and video as well as working on a portrait project with the 19 children they've adopted into their program.

Working with Royalty

Phoenix-based Digital Royalty is responsible for some of the most strategic social media campaigns for celebrities and athletes like Shaquille O’Neal, UFC president Dana White, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, the Chicago White Sox and now Nike. This 10-person team understands the importance of a social media presence — they have more than a million friends (followers) on Twitter.

Digital Royalty is young and cool and they are in love with their work. They wanted their social media portraits/avatars to reflect that.
